Nameboard: Top half internally concave with 145mm x 36mm name label in gilt lettering on dark background stating:
“Royal Letters Patent/GRANTED/1811 1820 1826 1828 1842/
Robert Wornum & Sons/ MUSICHALL/Store Street, Bedford Square/LONDON”
: bottom half vertical with centrally-placed 220mm x 120mm
name label in inlaid old English lettering stating:
“Robt Wornum & Sons”
Numbers: ‘10511’ punched into top surface of action in three places to the Right, on one of which accompanied by letters ‘CWA’.
“1051?2” to R of “10532”(struck through) punched into rear surface of top of pedal lyre, indicating original number incorrect, obliterated and replaced by fresh number, also partly incorrect, which is then partly
corrected ‘1084’ punched into top surface of action, adjacent to one of the ‘10511’ punchings.
